Jeric gets chance to settle score with Jeron as Teng brothers face each other in `Master' Challenge

Almost a year after their memorable duel in the UAAP men’s basketball finals, brothers Jeric and Jeron Teng will face off again in the Master Game Face All-Star Basketball Challenge Year 2 on June 21 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Jeric Teng was drafted to play for the team of San Mig Coffee star Marc Pingris during the event's drafting session at the Mall of Asia Music Hall. Jeron Teng, on the other hand, was selected for the team of Chris Tiu. Notably, Chris Tiu is Jeric Teng's teammate at Rain or Shine in the PBA.

The 7 p.m. match reignites the rivalry between the brothers, who played against each other in the UAAP Season 76 championship series where Jeron led La Salle to victory over Jeric's University of Santo Tomas team. Jeric sees this as a chance to get even after UST's overtime loss in the decisive Game 3, stating "Masaya dahil may chance makabawi" (Happy because there's a chance to get back). Jeron expressed excitement about facing his brother again.

Team Chris (Chris Tiu) includes Jeron Teng, Ranidel De Ocampo, Jeff Chan, Mike Cortez, Jimmy Alapag, Cliff Hodge, Alex Nuyles, Chris Newsome, Kevin Ferrer, Mike Tolomia, Rome Dela Rosa, Mark Cruz, and Zach Nichols.

Team Marc (Marc Pingris) includes Jeric Teng, Mark Barroca, Gary David, Larry Fonacier, Jared Dillinger, Paul Artadi, Andre Paras, Jeff Javillonar, Jericho Cruz, Roi Sumang, Baser Amer, Kevin Racal, and Josan Nimes.
