Manila ousts Mindoro from MPBL playoff contention

Manila dominated Mindoro with a 133-101 victory in the MPBL Lakan Season game held at the STRIKE Gymnasium in Bacoor on Monday, January 20, 2020. This win formally eliminated Mindoro from playoff contention.

Manila, playing with playoff implications, controlled the game from start to finish, executing effectively on both offense and defense. Coach Tino Pinat credited his players' consistent focus and their aggressive approach against Mindoro's defense throughout the contest. The win improved Manila's record to 23-4.

Carlo Lastimosa led the Stars with a standout performance of 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, reminiscent of his collegiate and PBA prime. Jonjon Gabriel contributed 16 points and 8 rebounds.
