The inaugural PBA60 World Series of Bowling begins this week at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl, running on Saturdays and Sundays from May 31st to July 13th, with live streams available. Over 130 players are expected, including PBA Hall of Famers Parker Bohn III, Bryan Goebel, Ron Mohr, Amleto Monacelli, Pete Weber, and Wayne Webb, along with USBC Super Senior Classic winner James Campbell.
The event is named after PBA and USBC Hall of Famer Wayne Webb. The series features three titles: the first is the Webb Championship on July 2-3, followed by the PBA60 Roth Championship on July 4-5. Both championships involve an eight-game qualifying round; the top 16 players advance to elimination match play, with two best-of-five matches determining the five stepladder finalists for each event.
The top 18 players based on cumulative qualifying scores from the Webb and Roth Championships advance to round-robin match play in the World Championship on July 6-7. The top five players after this match play will compete in the World Championship stepladder finals at 6 p.m. Eastern on July 7. All rounds will be livestreamed on BowlTV.
Specific schedule details include practice sessions on Tuesday, July 1st (A-squad at 10am, B-squad at 2pm Eastern) and the Webb Championship qualifying rounds on Wednesday, July 2nd (A-squad at 9am, B-squad at 4pm Eastern, both eight games).
