Shirley E. Daniels Obituary August 21, 2024

Shirley E. Daniels, 84, of Havelock, NC, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, at Carolina East Medical Center, with her family present.

Her funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Rev. Kenny McCoy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the same location.

Shirley is remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and friend who led a life of adventure. She enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, bird watching, and all kinds of sports, with a particular passion for racing and football, which she loved discussing.

She is survived by her three children: Lisa Daniels of Atlantic, Keelie Kimmons (Kirk) of Havelock, and Kenneth W "Chip" Daniels (Toni) of the home; an adopted son, John Sharp of Dover; six granddaughters: Lela S Nelson (Zach), Autumn Daniels, Jolie Gaskill (Tim), Megan Yates, Brenna Kimmons, and Trinity Norris; and seven adored great-grandchildren: Bricen Goodwin, Adelyn Lewis, Gracelyn Brinson, Kenna Nelson, Ayden Lewis, Madison, and Hayden Henderson.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Wayne Daniels Sr., and her daughter Jolie Nell Daniels.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Carteret County Humane Society, 853 Hibbs Road, Newport, NC 28570.
