Sources: Bellingham out 12 weeks post-surgery

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham will undergo surgery on his left shoulder in London on Wednesday, according to ESPN sources, with an expected recovery period sidelining him for 10 to 12 weeks.

Bellingham has struggled with a recurring shoulder injury since joining Madrid, including a dislocation during a match against Rayo Vallecano in November 2023. He initially chose rehabilitation to stay on the pitch, but this prevented full recovery. After playing through the Club World Cup, he decided on surgery, citing discomfort with the brace and a desire to regain full shoulder health.

Since transferring from Borussia Dortmund in 2023, Bellingham played a key role in Real Madrid's LaLiga and Champions League double win in his debut season, scoring 15 goals and providing 15 assists across 58 appearances.

With Real Madrid's LaLiga campaign starting under new coach Xabi Alonso against Osasuna on August 19, Bellingham is projected to return in early October, missing around eight league games and the beginning of the Champions League group stage.
