French international full-back Theo Hernandez has officially joined Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal from AC Milan. The 27-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Riyadh-based club, keeping him there until the end of the 2027-28 Roshn Saudi League season.
Hernandez brings significant European elite experience to Al Hilal, having spent six successful years at AC Milan. During his time in Italy, he won the 2021-22 Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup earlier this year. The dynamic left-back made 262 appearances for Milan, scoring 34 goals and providing 45 assists.
Prior to his time at Milan, Hernandez spent two years at Real Madrid. He was part of the squad that won the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League and the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup.
On the international stage, Hernandez debuted for France in 2021 and helped his country win the UEFA Nations League that same year. He was also a runner-up at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, earning a total of 38 caps for France, with his most recent appearance coming in last month's UEFA Nations League.
Hernandez will reunite with new Al Hilal manager Simone Inzaghi, with whom he had fierce encounters during the Milan derby when Inzaghi managed Inter Milan.
