Bijan Robinson Clarifies How to Pronounce His First Name

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has excelled during his first two seasons. He ran for nearly 1,500 yards and scored 14 touchdowns last season, earning his first Pro Bowl selection.

During NFL Network's "Back Together Weekend," Robinson clarified the correct pronunciation of his first name, which differs from how it was commonly said during his college career at the University of Texas. He personally demonstrated the proper enunciation.

Robinson recently received significant recognition ahead of the upcoming season, where he will support quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in the Falcons' offense. He was ranked as the 62nd best player in the NFL by fellow players. Additionally, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley praised Robinson's unique cutting ability, vision, and agility, stating that "nobody" in the league matches him in these areas and predicting his continued development will "get scary for a lot of people."

The Falcons will open their 2025 season at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 7.
