Cooper Kupp excited for homecoming debut with Seattle Seahawks

Yakima native Cooper Kupp will make his homecoming debut with the Seattle Seahawks in their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field on Sunday. After eight standout seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, Kupp signed with Seattle this offseason.

Kupp expressed excitement about playing close to home but admitted he does not know exactly how many friends and family will attend the game, though he expects a large turnout. He recalled his first experience playing in Seattle, when his father secured around 150 tickets for supporters, and highlighted the significance of now sharing the same jersey with those who previously cheered for the Seahawks.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald praised Kupp’s impact on the team, emphasizing his credibility, experience, and independent thinking. Macdonald noted that Kupp respectfully suggests improvements based on his past success, contributing valuable insights to the coaching staff and offense as the Seahawks aim to return to the postseason after a two-year absence.
