NBA Names Kyle Filipowski Summer League MVP, Announces All-SL Teams

Kyle Filipowski, forward/center for the Utah Jazz, has been named the 2025 NBA Summer League Most Valuable Player. He was also selected for the All-Summer League first team.

Filipowski, entering his second NBA season, played in six total Summer League games (Salt Lake City and Las Vegas). He averaged 23.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.0 block in 27.6 minutes per game. His performance was particularly strong in Las Vegas, where he averaged 29.3 points and 7.7 rebounds across three games.

The All-Summer League first team also includes: Clifford (rookie drafted 24th, averaged 15.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.2 steals in 6 games), Jones-Garcia (averaged 22 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists in 8 games; 21.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists in Vegas), Miller (averaged 22.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists in 5 games after being waived by the Clippers), and Shannon (entering second season with Minnesota, averaged 22.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists in 3 games).

Both the Charlotte Hornets (Knueppel and Simpson) and Sacramento Kings (Clifford and Jones) had multiple players recognized for their play in Las Vegas following their participation in the Summer League championship game. Knueppel was named the MVP of that championship game.
