Quentin Millora-Brown can now join Gilas Pilipinas as a local

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) confirmed that Quentin Millora-Brown (QMB) is eligible to play for the Gilas Pilipinas national basketball team as a local player. This reverses his initial classification as a naturalized player by FIBA, following an appeal submitted by his camp.

SBP President Al Panlilio welcomed the FIBA ruling, stating that a player of Millora-Brown's size and skill can positively impact the team. Millora-Brown gained prominence playing for the UP Fighting Maroons last season, where he was a key figure in their Season 87 championship win, notably sinking crucial free throws in Game 3 against La Salle.

Currently signed with the Macau Black Bears, Millora-Brown recently played against Gilas Pilipinas in a FIBA Asia Cup send-off game. His local status is expected to significantly bolster Gilas Pilipinas, allowing the Philippines to feature a youthful frontline including him, AJ Edu, and Kai Sotto.
